If you’re not familiar, this is a steep uphill time trial in downtown Worcester to honor Major Taylor who used to train on George Street. This hill is so steep my car wasn’t sure it wanted to go up it but on July 28, cyclists will accept the challenge. Some are there to compete against each other and their own best times. Others are there to prove they can make it. All are champions because this is one tough hill.

Not into cycling? You should go and cheer the riders on anyway. It’s inspiring to see people take on this challenge. It’s also a fantastic community event. The crowd cheers on every rider as they make their way to the top. The energy around this event is extremely positive. Watch the video, you’ll see it then make a plan to go. You will have a great time.

You can register online if you’d like to give it a try. Riders of all levels aged 12 and up are welcome. Riders must wear helmets.
